Community Garden

Our community garden was conceived of as a way of being out more within the community. The church members decided to create the garden as a ministry of the church.

The design of our garden is in the shape of a cross. In the first year, the “head” of the cross contained zucchini and yellow squash. The two “arms” of the cross were planted with tomatoes (roma and grape/cherry). The “foot” of the cross featured peppers, onions, and various herbs. We made jars of salsa from the produce; these can be found in our Blessing Box near our Huntley Road entrance.
